Barman Ejects Raise the Colours Founder from Birmingham Pub

Raise the Colours co-founder Ryan Bridge was ejected from a Birmingham pub last week, with the barman receiving applause from customers. The incident occurred at The Queens Arms in Newhall Street, located in the Jewellery Quarter.

Confrontation at the Pub

Footage shows the Irish barman telling Bridge, 44, that he was "not welcome" and ushering him and his associates out. When Bridge asked if the ejection was due to wearing a Raise the Colours T-shirt, the barman replied, "Yes, you're damn right." The situation escalated when Bridge accused the barman of being "the problem in the country," leading to an argument with another customer. Bridge then threatened, "I'll spark you out."

About Raise the Colours

Raise the Colours, founded in Birmingham by Bridge and Elliott Stanley, claims to be driven by "patriotic" motives. The group has hung flags from lamp-posts across the country and has been vocal about opposing illegal migration across the English Channel, but has faced widespread criticism.
