New analysis of West Midlands Police data has identified Birmingham's anti-social behaviour hotspots, with Aston and Small Heath recording the highest number of reported incidents. The data, covering the 12 months to February 2026, shows that Aston and Small Heath each reported 319 incidents, closely followed by Longbridge with 316 offences.
Widespread Impact on Residents
Thousands of anti-social behaviour (ASB) incidents were reported across Birmingham, but many residents choose to suffer in silence due to fear of retaliation. ASB includes rowdy or intimidating behaviour, such as youths shouting in the street or hanging around late at night in residential areas, engine revving, and harassment. These incidents have caused serious anxiety for residents who should feel safe in their own homes.
Other Affected Areas
Other neighbourhoods with high incident rates include Lozells and East Handsworth (269 offences), Erdington and South Yardley (249 each), and Acocks Green (249 incidents). The data highlights the widespread nature of the problem across the city.
