Five Additional Suspects Face Court Over Wolverhampton Stabbing Incident
West Midlands Police have announced that five more men have been charged in relation to a violent disorder that occurred in Wolverhampton last year, which resulted in three individuals sustaining stab wounds. The incident took place on Staveley Road on October 27, 2025, and has been under active investigation since that time.
Details of the Incident and Initial Charges
During the outbreak of violence, three men were discovered with stab injuries. Fortunately, according to police reports, these injuries were not serious. Shortly after the event, a 31-year-old man from Telford was charged with assault in connection with the disorder.
New Charges and Court Appearances
Following further inquiries, authorities have now charged five additional men. The suspects and their scheduled court dates are as follows:
- Daban Ghafour, aged 43 and from Wolverhampton, faces charges of affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and assault. He is set to appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on March 10.
- Ari Kamal, aged 48 and also from Wolverhampton, is charged with affray and will appear at the same court on March 10.
- Rawa Said, a 19-year-old from Ilford in east London, is charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon. His court appearance is scheduled for March 12 at Dudley Magistrates' Court.
- Paywand Rafhat, aged 20 and from Walsall, faces charges of affray and assault, with a court date also set for March 12.
- Marwan Mohamad, aged 19 and of no fixed address, is charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon. He will appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on March 17.
Police Statement and Ongoing Investigation
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated, "We've charged a further five men in connection with disorder where men were found with stab injuries in Wolverhampton. We've been investigating following violence in Staveley Road on October 27 last year. Three men were hurt although thankfully their injuries were not serious. We charged a 31-year-old man from Telford with assault days after the disorder. Following further enquiries we've now charged five more men in connection with the incident."
