Fourth arrest in Wolverhampton car park fatal stabbing

A fourth person has been arrested following the fatal stabbing of a man in Wolverhampton. West Midlands Police confirmed on Monday, July 6, that a 37-year-old man from Bilston was detained on suspicion of murder, bringing the total number of arrests to four.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was found with a chest injury in a car park on Clarence Street at around 3am on Sunday, July 5. Paramedics attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrests and Custody

Police had previously arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of murder, as well as a 66-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender. All four individuals remain in police custody for questioning.

A force spokesperson stated: "We've arrested a fourth person after a man was found fatally stabbed in Wolverhampton, in the early hours of yesterday (5 July). Officers were alerted at 3am to a man with an injury to his chest in a car park in Clarence Street. The man in his 20s was treated by paramedics and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."

Investigators are continuing enquiries, and police are appealing for anyone with information or footage from the area to come forward. The spokesperson added: "Our investigation is continuing, and we are still appealing for anyone with information or footage from around the area to get in touch."
