A man remains in hospital in a critical condition after being violently attacked outside Worcester Foregate Street railway station on Friday evening, July 3.
Attack details
Shortly before 8pm, the victim was set upon by two men just outside the station. According to British Transport Police (BTP), he was repeatedly punched and stamped on while lying on the ground. Officers and paramedics attended the scene, and the victim was taken to a local hospital where he is now fighting for his life.
BTP has released CCTV images of two individuals they believe may have information that could assist detectives with the ongoing investigation. In a statement, the force said: "Detectives investigating a serious assault at Worcester Foregate Street station are releasing CCTV images in connection. At just before 8pm on Friday 3 July, the victim was attacked by two men just outside the station. During the assault he was repeatedly punched and stamped on whilst he lay on the ground."
Appeal for information
Detectives are urging anyone who recognises the men in the images to come forward. The BTP appeal reads: "Do you recognise these men? Detectives believe the men in the CCTV images may have information that could assist their ongoing investigation."
