West Midlands Police have reported that a nurse was violently car-jacked outside a hospital, threatened with a needle, and badly injured after being struck by the vehicle. The incident occurred when the female victim was forced to give up her car under threat from a suspect wielding a needle.
Police pursuit and arrest
Officers pursued the suspect as they drove through Smethwick. The driver was eventually tasered by police and subsequently arrested. West Midlands Police traffic officers shared details of the bust on social media, stating: "#RoadCrimeTeam officers supported by @NPASMidlands pursued this car in Smethwick after a nurse was violently car-jacked outside a hospital where she was threatened with a needle & badly injured after being struck by the car. The driver was arrested after being tasered."
