West Midlands Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made following a sexual assault at Sandwell Valley Country Park, as officers continue to conduct reassurance visits and visibility patrols in the area.
Incident Details
Emergency services were called to the beauty spot near Park Lane in West Bromwich at around 10:15am on Monday, June 29, after a woman was found injured. Police believe she was sexually assaulted and that items were taken from her. The victim was taken to hospital and has since been discharged. She is now being supported by specially trained officers as the investigation continues.
Ongoing Investigation
In an update on Friday, July 3, the force stated that enquiries are ongoing and that officers were carrying out patrols around Priory Woods earlier that day. The attacker remains at large, and police are urging anyone with information or who was in the area at the time to come forward.
