Two men were injured in a group assault at a bar in Tamworth, Staffordshire Police have confirmed. The incident took place at a bar on Church Street at around 1am on Saturday, September 19, with police called to the scene later that morning.
One victim, a man, was punched in the head by an unknown individual before being further assaulted by a group of people. A friend of the victim, also a man, was assaulted by the same group during the incident. The first victim attended hospital with facial injuries, while the second received treatment for an ear injury.
Police appeal for witnesses
No arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing, Staffordshire Police said. The force is now appealing for anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage to come forward.
In a statement, police said: "We are appealing for information after two men were injured in an assault involving a group of people in Tamworth. We were called at 11.45am on Saturday (19 September) following an assault at a bar on Church Street at around 1am the same day."

The statement continued: "The victim, a man, was punched in the head by an unknown man before a group of people then assaulted the victim further. At the same time, a friend of the victim, a man, was also assaulted by the group."
"The first victim attended hospital for facial injuries. The second victim attended hospital for treatment of an ear injury. Our inquiries are continuing."
