14-Year-Old Among Five Detained in Kingstanding Firearms and Drugs Raid
A 14-year-old was among several individuals detained on suspicion of firearms offences following a targeted police raid on a property in Kingstanding, Birmingham. West Midlands Police confirmed that officers executed a warrant at a residence on Tresham Road yesterday morning, February 11, as part of an ongoing investigation.
Recovery of Drugs and Ammunition
During the operation, conducted by the County Lines Taskforce alongside other specialised teams, authorities recovered significant evidence. This included Class A drugs and two bullets, highlighting the serious nature of the offences under investigation. The raid underscores the police's commitment to tackling organised crime and drug-related activities in the community.
Charges and Court Appearance
In connection with the raid, Kyle Causer, aged 31 from Kingstanding, has been formally charged. He faces multiple charges, including possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possessing ammunition, and having cannabis. Causer has been remanded and is scheduled to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today, February 12, for his initial hearing.
Further Detentions and Bail
In addition to the 14-year-old, four other individuals, aged between 14 and 20, were also detained on suspicion of firearms offences. All five have been released on bail pending further enquiries, as police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the raid and the recovered items.
