I'm A Celeb All Stars 2026: A Unique Elimination Process in South Africa
The highly anticipated I'm A Celebrity All Stars 2026 has premiered on ITV, featuring a roster of iconic former contestants returning for another jungle adventure. Unlike the standard series, this edition has been pre-recorded, fundamentally altering how campmates are evicted from the show.
Pre-Recorded Format Changes the Game
This year's All Stars series was filmed late last year, six months before its television debut on April 6, 2026. ITV confirmed the launch date on March 8, 2026, noting that the show airs weeknights for three weeks. With the series pre-recorded, viewers are not involved in the daily elimination process, as all campmates have already completed their jungle stint and are now watching from home.
The cast includes twelve familiar faces: Adam Thomas, Ashley Roberts, Beverley Callard, Craig Charles, David Haye, Gemma Collins, Harry Redknapp, Jimmy Bullard, Scarlett Moffatt, Seann Walsh, Sinitta, and Sir Mo Farah. These stars are enduring the classic jungle hardships, surviving on minimal rations like rice and beans while tackling gruesome Bushtucker Trials to earn extra food.
How Eliminations Work in South Africa
In a departure from the usual format, ITV viewers do not vote to save their favourite stars or assign challenges during the main series. Instead, the elimination process is based entirely on performance within the camp. Producers design challenges, and campmates are judged on how well they execute them.
The power to evict lies with the campmates themselves. They vote among each other to decide who deserves to remain in camp and who should be sent home. This internal voting system adds a layer of strategy and unpredictability, as fans have no insight into nightly popularity contests, making it nearly impossible to predict who will advance to the finals.
The Live Finale and Public Vote
Despite the pre-recorded nature of the series, the finale is a live event where the public finally gets a say. Reflecting on the 2025 winner, Myleene Klass, host Dec explained that the final involves a head-to-head Bushtucker trial, with the public ultimately choosing the victor. This year's live grand finale is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, and will air in two parts: the first from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM and the second from 10:00 PM to 10:30 PM, where the King or Queen of the Jungle will be crowned.
ITV has emphasized that reaching the finale is tougher than ever, with campmates having to earn their spot through peer voting before facing the public's decision. This hybrid approach combines internal camp dynamics with viewer engagement, ensuring a thrilling conclusion to the All Stars edition.
