Award-Winning Storytellers Bring Greek Myth 'Selene' to Knutsford Market Hall

Internationally award-winning storytelling experts Wright & Grainger are set to captivate audiences in Knutsford this summer, following a highly successful tour in Australia. Their production, Selene, earned five-star reviews at the Fringe World Festival in Perth, showcasing their innovative approach to classical tales.

Exploring Light and Dark in a Modern Myth

Selene delves into the story of the Greek goddess and personification of the moon, celebrated for her beauty and radiant glow. The narrative takes a compelling turn as Selene confronts and acknowledges the dark side of herself, offering a profound exploration of self-discovery and transformation.

Wright & Grainger combine Greek mythology with an epic soundtrack to reinvent classical stories as modern myths. In their own words, "SELENE is a radical exploding of an ancient myth. It's about how we grow up living defined by our bodies, and about what happens when that changes." They further describe it as "a story about what we're stuck in the orbit of, the light sides and dark sides of us, and all the wild stuff inside of us."
