A Birmingham delivery cyclist has been rushed to hospital following a collision with a car near a McDonald's on a major city road. The incident occurred at the junction of Bristol Street and Belgrave Middleway at 9.10pm on Friday, May 8.
West Midlands Police confirmed that the cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police cordoned off part of Bristol Road after the crash. A collapsed bike and a delivery box were visible within the scene.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A police spokeswoman said: 'We were called to the junction of Bristol Street and Belgrave Middleway last night (8 May) at 9.10pm to a collision between a cyclist and a car. A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened. We would ask anyone who may have been in the area to get in touch with us by calling 101 quoting incident number 5672 of 8 May.'
