Amber Davies Breaks Silence After Strictly Loss, Addresses 'Months of Hate'
Amber Davies speaks out after Strictly Come Dancing final loss

Former Love Island winner Amber Davies has broken her silence with an emotional social media post after she and professional partner Nikita Kuzmin were defeated in the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 final.

An Unexpected Journey to the Final

The 29-year-old West End star, who was a last-minute replacement for the injured Dani Dyer, reflected on her incredible four-month journey on the BBC show. She and Kuzmin faced tough competition in Saturday's finale from broadcaster George Clarke with Alexis Warr and the ultimately victorious pairing of Birmingham footballer Karen Carney and Carlos Gu.

Karen Carney's win made history, while it marked a first Glitterball trophy for her professional partner Carlos. Despite the loss, Amber took to Instagram to share her joy for the winners and gratitude for her own experience.

Addressing the 'Hate' and Looking Ahead

Throughout her time on the programme, Davies was forced to contend with significant online trolling, much of it criticising her prior dance experience in the West End. In her heartfelt post, she branded the final the "best night of my life" and expressed being "so so unbelievably happy" for Karen and Carlos.

She thanked the judges, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on their final show, and the fans for their support. Signing off, she hinted at a brief rest before beginning rehearsals for the Legally Blonde musical.

Partner's Defence and Call for Kindness

The issue of the abuse was highlighted by her dance partner, Nikita Kuzmin, during the live final. He directly addressed the audience, stating: "You have had so much hate every single day since the moment you joined... I speak to the audience at home, just please, please, be kind. It costs nothing."

Fans flooded Amber's post with supportive messages, calling her a "winner" and a "sensational" performer who "shone from start to finish." This public support follows a previous candid post from Amber herself, where she urged trolls to remember the show is "just a television show" and to choose kindness.
