Flight Diverted to Faro After Medical Incident

A Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Lanzarote was forced to divert more than 600 miles from its intended destination following a medical emergency on board. Flight LS167, a Boeing 737-800, departed Glasgow Airport at 3:17 pm on Monday, July 16, and was scheduled to land in Lanzarote at 7:50 pm. However, the flight was rerouted to Faro, Portugal, after a passenger required urgent medical attention.

Passenger Disembarked for Treatment

According to Flight Radar data, the aircraft landed in Faro where the affected passenger disembarked to receive necessary medical care. After the passenger was attended to, the flight resumed its journey to Lanzarote, arriving later than originally planned. The airline confirmed the diversion was solely due to the medical emergency.
