Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in the Black Country left a motorcyclist with potentially life-changing injuries.
Early Morning Collision on High Street
The incident occurred on Monday, December 15, at just before 7am. Emergency services were called to High Street in Wordsley, Stourbridge, near its junction with Kinver Street, following reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike.
A passing ambulance crew came across the scene at approximately 6.50am. They quickly requested backup, prompting the dispatch of a second ambulance and a critical care paramedic to assist.
Motorcyclist Rushed to Hospital
The rider of the motorbike, a man, sustained significant injuries in the crash. He was treated at the roadside by paramedics for what have been described as 'potentially serious' injuries to his arm and leg.
Following emergency treatment, he was conveyed by ambulance to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley for further specialist care. His current condition has not been disclosed.
Police Investigation Underway
Officers from West Midlands Police are now investigating the exact circumstances that led to the collision. A police spokesperson confirmed the force was called to the scene and has launched an inquiry.
Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage from the area around the time it happened.
